Living with a neurological voice disorder called Spasmodic Dysphonia since 2017, Scott uses quilting and design to share his story and raise awareness. A lifelong quilter, Scott began sewing at age seven and launched 4th & Main Designs in 2014. His work has appeared in Quiltmaker, McCall’s Quilting, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, and Quilter’s World. He is the author of five books with Annie’s Publishing, including his newest release, Building Quilts with Panels (2025). Scott also designs fabric with Banyan Batiks, including Abstraction and 4th & Main Favorites. His quilting philosophy is simple: a quilt only looks hard until you try it—and every “mistake” is just part of the lesson.
